For sustainable product quality, Frierss was awarded the "Prize for Long-Term Product Quality" by the DLG.
The regular quality performance of the company in the international DLG quality tests for sausages and sausage products convinced the jury of experts.
"120 years of experience, traditional family recipes and local raw materials guarantee first-class taste. The current DLG award for many years of product quality confirms the top quality of our products", Rudolf Frierss said proudly.
Award for long-term product quality
For many years, companies in the food industry have voluntarily had their products tested by DLG experts with regard to raw materials, processing, consistency and taste. The extensive tests focus on sensory product analysis, which enables objective quality assessment. The DLG test centre is a European leader in the quality assessment of foodstuffs.
In order to sustainably promote this striving for quality, the DLG awards the "Prize for Longstanding Product Quality". Companies must participate in the international quality tests of the DLG Foodstuffs Test Centre for five years in succession and achieve at least three awards per award year. From the fifth successful year of participation onwards, the company is awarded the "Prize for Longstanding Product Quality".
Family tradition with success
The Frierss family is the fifth generation to run the traditional Villach company, which is celebrating its 120th anniversary this year and has long since become one of the leading quality companies in sausage and ham production in Austria. Frierss is nationally known above all for its range of genuine Carinthian originals, such as the Carinthian mountain salami, the original Carinthian sausages, the Carinthian farmer's ham or its Carinthian bacon. The range of Italian specialities, such as the finest Prosciutto Castello or Mortadella, is unique and is awarded DLG Gold every year.
