Product innovation winner prize for Frierss truffle mortadella

The "Product Champion" 2018 Austria goes to Carinthia!

The Frierss family was awarded the most important innovation prize for meat and sausage products in Austria, so called "product champion" at this year's AMA meat forum in Feldkirch with its truffle mortadella.

FELDKIRCH. For the 17th time, the best of the meat and sausage industry were awarded the coveted innovation prize. The "Product Champion" is regarded as an important indicator in terms of quality, taste, degree of innovation, raw material selection and product idea.  The Frierss Truffle Mortadella was awarded 1st place in the category "Serving Delicatessen Counter".

Product Champion: Truffle Mortadella

The truffle mortadella is the royal class of the mortadella, which has been produced at Frierss for more than 75 years. This classic italophile speciality has its origin in the special geographical location of the family business in the heart of the Alps-Adriatic region on the one hand and in Rudolf Frierss' pioneering spirit and passion for Italy on the other. Together with world-famous mortadella specialists, he worked on a special roasting process and developed his own composition of Italian natural spices, which is still a well-kept secret today.

The family recipe, proven over decades, 100% Austrian pork and exquisite black truffles are the recipe for the success of this first-class truffle mortadella. With its mildly spicy taste and its discreet truffle note, this speciality convinces connoisseurs and also the expert jury. The truffle mortadella has recently become available in a 100g cut self-service package.
